Personal Data at Nørre Gymnasium

Here you will find our guidelines on how we process your personal data and what rights you have if you are registered with us as a student or an employee.

If you have questions about how we process your personal data or about your rights in that connection, you are welcome to contact Nørre Gymnasium or our Data Protection Officer at dpo@GFadm.dk.

For guests, external examiners, guest speakers, bridge-building students, interns, job applicants, senders of mail to the school, tradespeople, cleaning staff, and anyone present on the school's premises under, for example, a service contract: this is how we process your personal data (please also refer to the documents in the menu on the right).

In connection with our operations and administration, Nørre Gymnasium processes information about individuals (personal data). If you have written to us, sent us a job application, visited, communicated or collaborated with Nørre Gymnasium, or if our operations and administration have otherwise made it necessary, we process personal data about you.

Below you can read which information about you we may use and what your rights are.

GDPR

Nørre Gymnasium processes the personal data that you provide to us yourself, for example your contact details and the information relating to the reason for your stay at the school or your enquiry.

If you are a bridge-building student, intern or external examiner, or if you receive a fee from us, for example as a guest speaker or board member, we also register your CPR number (civil registration number).

Nørre Gymnasium may also obtain information about you from sources other than yourself if we have a legal basis for doing so or if you have given your consent in advance.

To illustrate everyday life, events and highlights at Nørre Gymnasium, we sometimes take photos and record video on the school's premises. These will primarily be candid and atmospheric photos and videos. Depending on the circumstances, these photos and videos may be published on our website and through various media (for example on the school's social media profiles, in printed publications, on posters, advertisements and banners, on the school's information screens, and in articles in, for example, newspapers and on television).

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed as described, you can tell the photographer. You should also take care to stay out of situations where photos or videos are being taken. If you are photographed or filmed anyway, and the photo or video is shown, for example, on our website, you can always contact the webmaster and ask to have it removed.

The personal data that Nørre Gymnasium processes will be processed and stored in the school's IT systems, to which only school employees with work duties that specifically warrant it have access.

Your rights

The right to be informed about the processing of your personal data: You have the right to be told that we process personal data about you and why, cf. Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You receive that information here.

If you would like more detailed information, you are always welcome to contact the school's contact person or the school's Data Protection Officer (see contact details below).

  • The right of access: You can gain access to which personal data we process about you, what the purpose of the processing is, how long we store the personal data about you, where we obtained the data (if we did not receive it from you), and to whom we may disclose your data, cf. Article 15 of the GDPR.
  • Your right of access may, however, be limited if considerations of private interests, the confidentiality of third-party information, or the duty of confidentiality in public administration so require, cf. section 22 of the Danish Data Protection Act.
  • The right to object: You can object to our processing of your personal data and, where applicable, demand that the data be erased, rectified or restricted, cf. Article 21 of the GDPR.
  • The right to rectification: You can have personal data about you that is incorrect or incomplete corrected or supplemented, cf. Article 16 of the GDPR.
  • The right to restriction of processing: You have the right to have our processing of your personal data restricted if there are special grounds for it, cf. Article 18 of the GDPR.
  • The right to erasure: We store your personal data for as long as is necessary for Nørre Gymnasium to be able to document our administration and operations, including to our auditors. We rarely store personal data for more than 5 years from the end of the calendar year to which the registration relates.

How to exercise your rights: Contact Nørre Gymnasium or the school's Data Protection Officer at dpo@GFadm.dk and state which right you wish to exercise and why. We will then examine whether we agree with your request. If we do not immediately agree, you will hear from us with an explanation of why your request cannot be met. In that case, you will have the opportunity to comment before we make a final decision on whether your request will be granted. Our decision must follow the rules of the Danish Public Administration Act on consultation of parties, statement of reasons and guidance on appeal, cf. sections 19 to 25 of the Act.

We encourage you to communicate about only a very few matters via Lectio, and to use only the predefined absence options ("Other", "Arrived late", "School-related activities", "Private matters" and "Illness"). Students and parents are encouraged not to elaborate on the absence in the free-text field, as the school does not reply there. Instead, they are encouraged to send an email to Nørre Gymnasium.
